Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on patient care, assisting with bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with activities of daily living to promote dignity and independence
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments by following infection control practices
• Document care thoroughly and communicate effectively with nurses and caregivers
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to ensure timely interventions

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — must be active and in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
• Comfortable assisting with patient transfers and mobility; ability to follow safe lifting protocols
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and any facility onboarding requirements
• Previous hands-on patient care experience is a plus but new CNAs with training are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Knowledge of vital signs, basic clinical observations, and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safe patient handling
• Good observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• A compassionate approach to patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
