Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Take and accurately record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Provide safe, attentive bedside care and assistance with mobility and transfers
• Document resident care clearly and promptly in the charting/EMR system
• Support licensed nurses during treatments and routine procedures
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote well-being

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state of Pennsylvania) or eligible to obtain before start
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings (e.g., TB testing)
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Dependable, team-oriented, with strong communication and patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Infection control best practices and safety protocols
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or paper charting
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for residents
