Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to PCU patients with 1:4-1:5 ratios
• Manage cardiac drips, insulin drips and heparin protocols expertly
• Perform EKG rhythm interpretation and critical thinking interventions
• Administer peritoneal dialysis and advanced respiratory support like BiPAPs
• Provide post-cardiac cath and stroke care with precision
• Insert and manage NG/Dobhoff tubes and tube feedings
• Collaborate with techs and team for outstanding patient outcomes
• Maintain hourly rounding and AIDET communication standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2+ years of PCU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong peripheral IV skills and critical thinking mindset
• Comfortable floating between PCU units or to med-surg as needed

Education

• RN licensure from accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• EKG rhythm interpretation mastery
• Expertise in cardiac, insulin and heparin drips
• Proficiency with BiPAPs, high flow O2 and multiple oxygen systems
• Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Stroke care and post-cardiac cath management
• Tube feedings, NG/Dobhoff tubes and wound vac troubleshooting
