Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage high-acuity PCU patients including those with CVA, STEMI, CHF, and respiratory distress
Administer critical drips like nitroglycerin, heparin, and amiodarone with precision
Read tele strips alongside remote tech support to ensure patient safety
Float to nearby floors to care for PCU patients and support the team
Collaborate with 24/7 hospitalists, intensivists, IV team, and RT for seamless care
Deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced unit with high turnover and welcoming team

Qualifications

Active WA or Compact RN License
2+ years of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
EPIC charting proficiency
Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus

Education

BSN preferred but not required
RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac drips, tele monitoring, and acute conditions like ACS, PE/DVT, and DKA
Strong assessment skills for chest pain, renal failure, and pre/post cardiac procedures
Floating flexibility across PCU floors
Team player in a busy, cohesive unit environment
