Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and respect
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly to the nurse in charge
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics to protect both you and the resident
- Document care provided accurately and timely in the resident chart or electronic records
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and coworkers
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering comfort and clear communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid for Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain prior to start)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
- Comfortable with direct patient care and working as part of a collaborative team
- Reliable transportation to Orwigsburg facility and flexibility to work assigned shifts
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA program and current state CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in ADLs, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and staff
- Basic documentation skills and familiarity with electronic or paper charting
- Teamwork, time management, and ability to prioritize resident needs
