Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, observe and report changes in patient condition
• Support safe transfers and mobility, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist nursing staff with treatments and timely documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the care team to promote coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (state-specific certification encouraged)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
• Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and perform hands-on care
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Familiarity with basic vital sign measurement and monitoring
• Knowledge of infection control and safe handling procedures
• Comfortable with electronic or paper charting and accurate documentation
• Team-oriented mindset with strong time management
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to work well under pressure
