Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float to East Campus and PCU when qualified to support team needs across the facility
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem while closely observing patient response

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting dysrhythmias
Some background with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Dysrhythmia recognition and response
Care for cardiac, post-cath, and medical-surgical patients
BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatment support
Cerner electronic health record navigation
