Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients on a busy Progressive Care Unit
Interpret telemetry and titrate drips including Heparin, Octreotide, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dynamic team to manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, and ED as needed to support patient care across the hospital
Work alongside nurse aides, patient care techs, and unit support staff to deliver excellent outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and not be employed by CommonSpirit facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Safe titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a high-flow unit with rapid patient turnover
