Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across MS-Tele and specialty units
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications including heparin drips and manage titratable drips safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float within the 60-mile zone to support facilities in Ulysses, Dodge City, and Garden City as needed
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
Document care accurately using EPIC and maintain compliance with all facility protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for adult and geriatric populations
Ability to float across multiple units and facilities within the zone

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, and post-surgical patient care
Safe administration of heparin and other titratable drips
EPIC documentation and Alaris pump experience preferred
Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments
