Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care for ED holds awaiting placement on med/surg/tele units
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
- Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
- Collaborate with the ED charge nurse and support staff to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and sister campus EDs as census needs arise
- Assist with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when supporting ED patients
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong cardiac telemetry background preferred with at least 2 years experience
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts max) and SIM lab on day one of orientation
- Comfortable reading and interpreting cardiac strips without a monitor tech
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Titration of drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
- Patient assessment and care planning for med/surg/tele patients
- Floating flexibility across multiple units and campuses
- Team collaboration with charge nurses and PCTs
