Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide variety of cases including total joints, general, vascular, spine, CVOR, ortho, neuro, ENT, and trauma
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Maintain sterile technique and support best practices throughout every surgery
Document procedures accurately using Cerner Surginet
Respond to on-call needs and contribute to seamless weekend and holiday coverage

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Comfortable working with Cerner Surginet and Phillips Telemetry systems
Ability to take call 1-2 weeknights per week and approximately one weekend per month
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet electronic medical records
Familiar with Phillips Telemetry monitoring
Knowledge of CVOR procedures including CABG, valve replacements, pacers, and lead extractions
Experience across ortho, general, vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma cases
Strong sterile technique and OR best practices
