Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes weekends and one holiday per year

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population, primarily adults with some pediatric patients in the ED
Perform arterial blood gas draws and analysis to monitor patient respiratory status
Set up and manage BiPAP, CPAP, and conventional ventilators (PB 980, Philips V60, Respironics Lumis)
Administer nebulizer treatments and assist with conscious sedation and cardioversion procedures
Support neonatal care in Level 2 nursery including Bubble CPAP for infants 32 weeks and older
Assist with intubations and emergency airway management alongside the medical team

Qualifications

Active Washington State Respiratory Therapy License required
RRT or CRT credential from NBRC
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of recent acute care experience preferred
Strong NICU experience with Level 2 nursery competency (Bubble CPAP, 32+ weeks)
Proficiency in ventilator management, BiPAP setup, and ABG draw

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in adult and neonatal respiratory care
Proficient with PB 980, Philips V60, and Respironics Lumis ventilators
Skilled in Bubble CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen delivery
Ability to interpret ABGs and adjust ventilator settings accordingly
Experience with conscious sedation and cardioversion standby
Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced hospital environment
