Location: Phoenix, Arizona

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends (at least 1 per month) and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and telemetry patients in a 32-bed unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms on Philips telemetry and interpret EKGs
Administer chemotherapy (if certified) and manage central lines
Insert Foley catheters and perform central line dressing changes while maintaining sterile field
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurse, PCTs, and SWAT IV team
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support the hospital

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certification required
Chemo certification preferred but not required
Experience in oncology nursing and telemetry (minimum 1 year preferred)
Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam prior to accepting assignment
Ability to complete SIMs Lab successfully (Foley and central line skills)
Travelers must have their own vehicle and live outside 50-mile radius

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing and telemetry monitoring
Cerner EMR proficiency
Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique
EKG interpretation
BIPAP and CPAP management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
