Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients in the Progressive Care Unit
Administer medications and titrate drips as needed (e.g., Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure medications)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Provide education and support to patients and families
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies

Qualifications

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license (required for submittal and radius determination)
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes management
Proficiency in continuous EEG monitoring and drip titration
Compassionate patient-centered care approach
