Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including post-surgical, post-crani, spine, and CVA post-TPA cases
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and PCTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications, manage IVs, and maintain sterile field during procedures
Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro telemetry or a related field (within the past 6 months)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer
COVID-19 vaccination or approved declination

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Neuro assessment skills for post-surgical and stroke patients
Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with electronic medical records
