End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery and postpartum patients
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using electronic fetal monitoring systems
Assist in C-sections, including circulating duties
Collaborate with charge nurse and OB techs to ensure safe patient ratios
Support birth plans and follow patient preferences for delivery
Float between L&D and postpartum units as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent L&D/Postpartum experience
Current and active California RN license
ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
Must be able to circulate for C-sections

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Fetal monitoring and interpretation using fetal link
High-risk OB patient management (34 weeks and above)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to float between L&D and postpartum units
