Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-06-2026

End Date: 09-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop individualized care plans for general medical, orthopedic, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document progress and adjust treatment strategies to meet patient goals
Support patients through post-surgical rehabilitation and acute deconditioning recovery

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification required
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working across multiple hospital departments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Experience with post-surgical orthopedic and neurological patients
Ability to manage a fast-paced acute care caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
