Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient needs
Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Precept and mentor nursing students as opportunities arise
Float to various units including Multi Care and Pediatric units to care for adult patients
Monitor stable CPAP and BiPAP patients with attention to detail
Manage a 1:5-6 patient ratio while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience preferred
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts
Willingness to care for both MST and PCU level patients

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and rhythm analysis
MedSurg nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and monitoring
Infection control practices
Precepting and mentoring abilities
Floating flexibility across multiple units
