Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across multiple specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Manage a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering safe, high-quality care
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities across Colorado Springs and surrounding areas
Administer medications including Heparin drips and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while maintaining clinical excellence

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
Neuro experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and work flexible schedules

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
Comfortable floating between MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
Ability to titrate Heparin drips safely
Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments
