Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-06-2026

End Date: 09-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in acute inpatient settings
Assess and treat a diverse caseload including deconditioned, orthopedic, and neurological patients
Document progress and adjust treatment strategies to support each patient's unique recovery journey

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER settings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Experience with orthopedic, neurological, and general medical rehabilitation
Ability to manage a fast-paced inpatient caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
