Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care during night shift admissions and transitions
• Perform thorough assessments and prioritize interventions for acute patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely according to orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly in the EHR
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity to support recovery
• Respond to emergent situations calmly and follow facility protocols

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania or compact license if applicable
• BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications encouraged where relevant
• Active clinical RN experience in acute care settings preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a travel/contract environment
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Proficient medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management, prioritization, and the ability to work independently
• Familiarity with inpatient protocols, safety standards, and infection control
