Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during night shifts for residents in a skilled nursing and rehab setting
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the facility’s charting system
• Support rehabilitation plans by assisting with mobility, ADLs, and restorative nursing tasks
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless continuity of care
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to a safe, respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (New Mexico) or eligibility for state licensure upon hire
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) on scheduled weekend coverage
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
• Willingness to travel and adapt to a short-term contract assignment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Skilled in patient assessment and recognizing clinical changes
• Experience with wound care and restorative nursing practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
• Commitment to resident-centered care and safety protocols
