Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for assigned patients
• Develop individualized care plans that promote independence and functional goals
• Deliver therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning
• Document progress clearly and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible for state licensure (California preferred)
• Current professional liability coverage as required by facility policies
• Strong clinical reasoning and documented experience in occupational therapy
• Comfortable working in an inpatient/rehab facility setting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessments and functional mobility training
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment recommendations and home safety
• Proficient clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to tailor interventions to cognitive, physical, and psychosocial needs
• Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting
