Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient mobility, strength, balance and functional needs to create individualized plans
• Develop and implement goal-driven treatment plans using evidence-based interventions
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to maximize patient independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support safe discharges
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and long-term recovery strategies

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license (or eligible to obtain state licensure)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's in Physical Therapy accepted where applicable
• BLS/CPR certification required (or obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy acceptable where allowed
• State licensure in Physical Therapy required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Proficient with documentation and EMR workflows
• Knowledge of gait training, balance retraining and assistive device recommendations
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and adapt treatments for varied patient acuity
• Strong patient education and family-training abilities
