Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments for OB procedures
• Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during obstetrical surgeries with precision and focus
• Anticipate instrument and supply needs to keep cases flowing smoothly
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and OR safety protocols
• Complete accurate documentation and communicate effectively with nursing and surgical staff
• Participate in competency testing and skills checklist activities to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (listed in job requirements)
• Surgical technologist certification or relevant license with license/certificate verification
• Proven skills or experience in Surgical Technology and Obstetrics (OB)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as required
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, color vision, immunizations, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Surgical Technology fundamentals and OR best practices
• Obstetrics (OB) surgical procedures and perioperative care
• Maintaining sterile technique and OR safety standards
• Familiarity with competency testing processes (Trinity Specialty testing and skills checklist)
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered mindset
