Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for NVICU patients, managing complex neuro and vascular cases
• Perform and assist with procedures common to the unit such as central and arterial line placement and intubation
• Monitor patient status continuously and intervene based on assessment and clinical judgment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and maintain clear communication during handoffs
• Support unit standards and participate in floating across ICUs, BMT, and PCU floors as needed

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) - NVICU role
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Oncology and Neuro experience are nice to have
• Familiarity with procedures such as central line and arterial line care, intubation, and EVD patient care
• Team player with accountability and a caring bedside manner; able to work required weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Experience with standard ICU equipment and management of high-acuity patients
• Comfort with neuro/vascular patient needs and EVD care
• Procedure support: central line, arterial line, intubation
• Proficiency or comfort using Meditech EMR
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with 2:1 patient ratios
