Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinicians with patient care and clinic procedures to keep the day running smoothly
Perform patient intake, obtain vitals, and document current complaints accurately
Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring supplies and equipment are ready
Collect specimens and assist with basic point-of-care testing as appropriate
Accurately document patient encounters in the medical record
Support the onboarding/orientation process and help mentor new team members

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of an accredited MA program preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Valid state MA license or registration if required by Missouri regulations
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Comfortable working 4-hour clinic shifts and adaptable to scheduling needs

Education

High school diploma or GED required; MA certificate/diploma or equivalent training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with vital signs, specimen collection, and basic clinical procedures
Accurate and timely clinical documentation practices
Familiarity with infection control and clinical safety protocols
Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced outpatient setting
