Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient condition and implement individualized nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Monitor and document patient progress in the electronic health record clearly and timely
• Recognize and respond quickly to patient changes, escalating concerns as appropriate
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure as required by facility)
• BLS certification required; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred where applicable
• Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour med-surg shifts
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and IV skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled in patient assessment and early recognition of clinical deterioration
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced unit
