Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients’ functional abilities and occupational performance to create meaningful goals
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that restore independence in daily activities
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and monitor progress
Document patient care clearly and timely in the facility’s records
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the rehab team to coordinate holistic care
Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs
Participate in orientation and training activities to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

Active Occupational Therapist license in California (required)
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting; orientation will be provided

Education

Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (from an accredited program)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ADL/IADL assessments and interventions
Familiarity with assistive devices, splinting, and adaptive techniques
Strong clinical reasoning and treatment planning
Patient and family education best practices
Accurate clinical documentation and use of electronic health records
Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
