Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory therapy interventions with compassion and precision
• Operate and manage respiratory equipment, including oxygen therapy and noninvasive ventilatory support
• Monitor patient respiratory status, interpret findings, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Document treatments, progress, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care and home equipment when appropriate
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in orientation and training activities to maintain unit standards and safety

Qualifications

• Current or active Missouri Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS or PALS a plus
• Clinical respiratory therapy experience preferred; new grads who meet licensure requirements are welcome to apply
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with respiratory equipment and monitoring (oxygen delivery, aerosol therapy, noninvasive ventilation)
• Ability to assess airway and respiratory function, including interpretation of ABGs
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and treatment planning
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations and adapting to changing clinical needs
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
