Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adults in the ICU
Continuously monitor and assess patients, responding quickly to changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and the care team to develop and implement patient plans
Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
Participate in bedside procedures and use of advanced ICU equipment as needed
Educate patients and families about condition, care plans and discharge needs

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (ability to practice in Louisiana expected)
ICU clinical experience or strong interest in critical care
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and ability to work in fast-paced settings
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in critical care assessments and monitoring
Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple acutely ill patients
