Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Part-time, 4-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days to be scheduled; orientation required).

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based physical therapy to pediatric patients
Assess mobility, strength, and functional needs; design individualized treatment plans
Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to help children reach milestones
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
Educate families on home programs and strategies to support progress between visits

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in California (or eligible to obtain)
Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills with children and families
Comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; or equivalent degree with appropriate licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions
Proficiency with therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and functional training
Good clinical reasoning and goal-setting skills
Familiarity with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
Ability to engage children and caregivers in treatment plans with empathy and creativity
