Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for PCU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately during your shift
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans to support recovery

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (posting lists Experience: 1)
• Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar setting
• Current RN credentials appropriate for practice in Texas (verify state licensure requirements)
• Comfort working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) clinical practices and protocols
• Patient monitoring and early recognition of clinical deterioration
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• Documentation and electronic medical record familiarity
