Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality wound care assessment, treatment, and documentation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions to promote healing and prevent complications
• Educate patients and families on wound care, prevention, and at-home management
• Accurately document treatments, responses, and communications in the medical record
• Advocate for patient needs and coordinate referrals as needed to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in wound care; Wound Care Nurse interview required prior to offer
• Proven clinical judgment and strong patient assessment skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification as required by facility

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Wound assessment and evidence-based wound care techniques
• Skilled in documentation, care planning, and patient education
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
• Ability to manage time and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
