Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Titrate cardiac and seizure medications safely while keeping patients stable and comfortable
Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Document assessments and interventions accurately to support continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Strong cardiac monitoring and drip-titration skills
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Safe titration of Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Continuous EEG monitoring experience
Critical thinking and rapid problem-solving in a 1:4-5 ratio environment
Clear communication and a positive, team-first attitude
