Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem and beta-blockers
Provide specialized care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond to neurological changes
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain 1:4-5 nurse ratios
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed while delivering compassionate care
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of PCU experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
EEG monitoring proficiency
Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
Positive attitude with a collaborative spirit
Quick problem-solving in high-acuity settings
