Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate physical therapy to a variety of acute inpatient patients including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological cases
Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical floors, ICU, and emergency department
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized rehab plans that promote recovery and independence
Document progress and adjust treatment strategies to meet each patient's unique goals
Support patients and families with education and encouragement throughout their healing journey

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience
Strong clinical skills across general medical, orthopedic, and neurological patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload of 12+ patients daily
Comfort working in ICU, ER, and medical-surgical settings
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Collaborative approach with rehab aides and interdisciplinary teams
