Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call coverage from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
- Monitor and support pediatric patients with compassion and specialized attention
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, smooth transitions from the operating room
- Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed, showcasing your versatility
- Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes to support your unit and patients
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
- Experience recovering pediatric patients strongly preferred
- EPIC EMR experience a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
- Comfort recovering pediatric patients and those with special needs
- Ability to manage vented patients on pressors and blood products
- Strong assessment and strip-reading skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to float and support where needed
