Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
- Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a busy 32-bed unit
- Educate patients and families about conditions like encephalopathy, ESRD, and post-op recovery
- Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Neuro experience highly valued
Knowledge & Skills
- EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
- Safe titration of cardiac and insulin drips
- Central line dressing changes and sterile technique
- Foley catheter insertion
- Cerner EMR documentation
