Physical Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Redwood City, California
Start Date: 06-08-2026
End Date: 09-07-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; occasional weekend shifts required with a weekday off in exchange
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional physical therapy care across all acute care units including MedSurg, Telemetry, ICU, Oncology, and Cardiology
- Deliver specialized treatment for ventilated patients and post-cardiac surgery recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Evaluate and treat diverse patient populations with orthopedic and total joint needs
- Document patient progress using Cerner EMR system
- Support patients through their entire hospital journey from admission to discharge
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in California
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
- Strong background in orthopedic and total joint rehabilitation
- Experience working with ventilated patients in ICU settings
- Comfortable treating diverse populations including MedSurg, Oncology, and Cardiology patients
