Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based primary care to adult and/or pediatric patients
• Manage acute and chronic conditions with preventive care and patient education
• Perform comprehensive history and physical exams and develop individualized care plans
• Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Mentor and collaborate with clinical staff to foster a supportive care environment

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• California medical license or ability to obtain licensure in California
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or equivalent
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain during orientation
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
• Willingness to complete a 2-week orientation and pass required credentialing/background checks

Education

• MD or DO (Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate documentation practices
• Ability to triage and manage urgent issues in an outpatient setting
• Skill in coordinating care across specialty services and community resources
• Cultural competence and the ability to work with diverse patient populations
• Efficient time management and workflow skills to maximize patient access
