Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Friday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM every other weekend, 24-hour in-house laborist shifts

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert labor and delivery coverage including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and VBACs
Manage both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies with personalized care plans
Perform essential OB/GYN procedures such as forceps deliveries, breech deliveries, and surgical gynecology
Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and perform OB ultrasounds for accurate diagnostics
Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and the broader care team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Handle GYN surgeries including laparoscopy, cystectomy, and ectopic pregnancy management

Qualifications

Board Certified OB/GYN required
Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain one promptly
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Active DEA registration
Clean malpractice history
Strong background in both obstetrics and gynecology procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management
Proficiency in labor and delivery procedures including complicated deliveries
Skilled in surgical gynecology and minimally invasive techniques
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to interpret OB ultrasounds and fetal monitoring
Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital laborist role
