Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while maintaining resident dignity and comfort
Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the nursing team
Support safe mobility and fall prevention practices for every resident
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working directly with patients/residents
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
Dependable, compassionate, and a strong team player

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
Knowledge of basic infection control and resident safety practices
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Basic charting and documentation skills
Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
Adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
