Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes in condition
Help with mobility, transfers and safe positioning to protect resident well-being
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate with the care team
Follow infection control and safety protocols to keep residents and staff safe
Support a positive, respectful environment and engage residents with dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or required by facility
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous long-term care or nursing home experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Competence in basic patient care and ADLs
Understanding of infection control and safety practices
Comfortable with vital signs and routine monitoring
Good documentation and time management skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
