Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with attention and respect
• Take and document vital signs and observe patients for changes in condition
• Communicate important observations and changes promptly to nursing staff and supervisors
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and assist with care plans
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and teamwork to continuously improve patient care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Georgia) — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Comfort with patient lifting/transfers and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Orientation attendance required (orientation is provided)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification (Georgia)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of direct patient care and basic nursing procedures
• Vital signs measurement and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Basic charting/EHR familiarity and attention to accurate documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
