Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and promptly respond to arrhythmias and changes in patient status
• Manage cardiac drips safely and titrate per protocol to optimize hemodynamics
• Provide focused post-cardiac and stroke patient care, including neuro checks using NIHSS when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Complete required competency testing and participate in skills checklists to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (License/Certificate Verification will be completed)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS competency required for stroke assessments
• Experience caring for post-cardiac patients and managing cardiac drips; telemetry experience required
• Completion of facility-specific competencies (Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist)
• Ability to meet facility health requirements including fit testing, immunizations, and drug screening

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; diploma, ADN, or BSN acceptable per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Cardiac drip management and titration
• Post-cardiac patient care and stabilization
• Stroke care and NIHSS assessment
• Basic and advanced cardiac life support (BLS, ACLS)
• Strong clinical documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
