Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; days not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting with dignity and compassion
Provide hands-on personal care that supports independence and comfort
Take and record vital signs and report any changes promptly to nursing staff
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents safe
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and the care team to create a positive environment
Contribute to a warm, home-like atmosphere that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or equivalent (required)
Prior experience caring for older adults or in a long-term care setting is a plus
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to perform physical tasks required for resident care following safety guidelines

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on caregiving for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Basic clinical skills such as taking vitals and charting
Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
Ability to follow care plans and accurately report observations to nursing staff
