Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them promptly
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status, escalating changes to the RN or provider
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the medical record to ensure continuity of care
• Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and safety measures
• Uphold infection control and facility safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (or eligibility to obtain licensure in New Mexico)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Comfortable working the posted schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation practices
• Basic assessment skills and monitoring of vital signs
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Infection control, safety protocols, and resident safety awareness
• Electronic medical record (EMR) charting familiarity
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical team
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
