Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans with attention to patient safety and image accuracy
• Operate CT equipment and related devices (Alaris IV pumps, Phillips cardiac monitors) following protocols
• Collaborate with radiology and allied health teams to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent care
• Prepare patients for procedures, including moderate conscious sedation when competent and indicated
• Document procedures accurately in Cerner EMR and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Participate in competency testing and unit-specific training to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist — ARRT (CT) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience preferred
• Area-specific competency exam required (facility testing for travelers)
• Demonstrated moderate conscious sedation competency (for ER travelers)
• Active state licensure and ability to submit required credentials

Education

• No BSN required for this role
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent training is preferred
• ARRT (CT) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong proficiency in Computed Tomography (CT) techniques and safety practices
• Experience charting and documentation in Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, Phillips cardiac monitors, and Omnicell medication systems
• Ability to perform moderate conscious sedation and follow related protocols
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork skills in an acute care setting
• Comfortable with unit floating between campus sites as needed
