Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment safely and effectively when permitted
• Process and transmit high-quality images to PACS in a timely manner
• Serve as the first-line imaging interface for patients and clinical teams, delivering compassionate care
• Participate in PI/QC (performance improvement/quality control) activities to maintain high standards
• Follow State and Federal regulations and facility policies to ensure compliance
• Complete required competency assessments and specialty exams to demonstrate proficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete required screenings, and uphold safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R credential (required)
• BLS (AHA) / BCLS current
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES
• Must obtain fluoroscopy permit from CDPH within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• At least 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience preferred
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of onboarding

Education

• Graduate of a radiologic technology program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiographic procedures and image acquisition best practices
• PACS operation and image processing/transmission
• Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety principles
• Venipuncture techniques and DCI/BVP familiarity
• PI/QC (performance improvement and quality control) processes
• Proficient computer skills for reporting and image handling
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations, HFAP/TJC/CMS requirements
